Performance & Skills is a one-to-one coaching programme designed to improve the performance and effectiveness of individuals in their workplace, through building on existing skills and developing new ones. Using a range of tools and materials as well as experience, the Coach will guide the individual to a greater understanding and appreciation of themselves and others, their strengths and weaknesses and the organisation objectives, leading to an action plan for further alignment and improvement.

Who will gain benefit?

The programmes are designed specifically for managers at all levels to improve their effectiveness, identify where skills need developing and how performance can be enhanced. Each programme is tailored to the specific needs of each individual.

What does it mean?

The programmes are in a one-to-one format delivered by experienced and accredited coaches with a time duration that is totally flexible. It is anticipated that there will be between 10 and 20 hours of formal contact time (typically delivered in two to three hour sessions) with a number of exercises and additional work.

  • Agreement of an “agenda” with the sponsoring organisation
  • Mutual agreement of the desired outcomes
  • Initial session are used to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the individual, focussing on areas of development
  • Subsequent sessions build an agenda and action plan for the development programme, achieving clarity and focus
  • The coaching sessions will cover no more than 5 specific skill areas, eg assertiveness, communications, leadership, team building etc
  • Each session will end with a summary of agreed actions for improvement and suitable exercises to practice newly acquired enhanced skills
