Phil Waite

Background

Phil Waite’s career comprised almost 40 years in the European chemical industry, first of all with ICI and then Hoechst AG in the UK and Germany. More recently he held senior positions with Clariant AG the Swiss based global leader in speciality chemicals. As Head of Global Supply Chain, IT and Process Management with the Pigments & Additives Division, Phil was also a senior member the corporate global team. Previously, he held senior positions in sales & marketing including Head of Western and Eastern Europe from a base in Frankfurt, Germany.

Coaching & Consulting Experience

In addition to coaching, mentoring and people development at all levels; Phil has instigated and led major change and business excellence programmes. He also has significant experience of management succession planning, management development and sales training. Phil has worked extensively with McKinsey and other major business consultants.

Line Management Experience

Phil has more than 30 year’s line management experience, most recently as Head of Global Supply Chain, IT & Process Management with Clariant AG. This followed his earlier career in sales management, chemicals production and technical service; multi-business stream sales, marketing and country management; operations planning and pan European business management. Phil has trained at IMD in Lausanne and is a competent German speaker.
