Robert Wivell

Background

Robert has had a very varied career. After some years as a partner in a firm of chartered accountants in Newcastle upon Tyne, he spent 11 years with PA Management Consultants before becoming successively the Managing Director of David Brown Gear Industries, Rose Forgrove and CPT. For the last 11 years, he has had a portfolio of non-executive directorships, management consultancy, coaching and career consultancy.

Consultancy Experience

As a senior member of a well-known international consultancy, Robert carried out a wide range of assignments in many different industries. His particular areas of expertise included:

• Strategic review and development
• Business improvement programmes
• Organisational development
• Cost reduction
• High level recruitment
• Executive coaching and mentoring

Line Management Experience

Robert has 13 years experience as a Managing Director and a further 10 years experience as a non-executive chairman and director. Much of this time was spent working with substantial manufacturing businesses, trading internationally.

Other Qualifications and Experience

Robert is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a degree in Economics from Durham University. In recent years, Robert has provided career coaching to over 250 directors and senior managers.
