Tailored career coaching programmes with 3 to 12 months coaching support designed to meet the needs of each individual leaving the business. Including helping them evaluate their full range of options e.g.:-
- Job Search- full or part-time employment
- Career Change & Re-training
- Self Employment or Own business
- Portfolio Career (semi-retirement)
And then coaching them through the activities needed to secure their chosen future career.
Who will gain benefit?
From junior managers and senior support staff, right through
to CEO’s. Our depth of consultants allows a near perfect
matching with candidates allowing a “team dynamics”
approach throughout the support phases of the service.
What does it mean?
A comprehensive and in-depth coaching and counselling programme that allows the candidate to uncover, evaluate and consider all their career options. Using their values and career goals to signpost the type of career and ultimately what programme content will be required.
After an initial meeting, at which we assess and manage emotions and expectations; agree the programme objectives and facilitate the matching with a career coach, the service usually comprises 3 phases: -
- Phase one - evaluation and options - as outlined above
- Phase two - job search,
self employment or portfolio outplacement programmes
- Phase three - support,
assessment and realignment (if any)
In addition to a highly professional coaching programme we will
provide the following:-
- Access to research and jobs databases and support
- Access to your consultant via telephone and email throughout
the programme
- Psychometrics, where appropriate
- Free financial planning advice – by approved IFAs
- Six month progress review with your coach, after the
start of your new role
- High quality materials that can last you throughout your
career

- Planning and assessing the jobs market, defining a successful

- Identify the “routes” to the market and agree

- Refining the CV, drafting letters and applications
- Networking, the “hidden” jobs market, direct approaches,
advertised vacancies and recruiters
- Interview and presentation skills, a CCTV “trial run”
with feedback
- Proactive marketing with influential recruiters
- Defining your campaign plans
Self Employment
- Guidance on your own business options, alternatives and “pit
falls”
- Practical advice on your business plan, potential funding
source, marketing strategy and action timescale
- Consultancy, Franchising, Interim, Non-Exec directors, MBO/MBI’s
- Advice on managing your business i.e. selling, finance, employment
concerns
- Support, advice and appraisal sessions from acknowledged experts
concerning progress made
- Defining your campaign plans
Portfolio (Semi-Retirement)
- Review of needs, options and expectations as a “new
life” approaches
- Support and advice with a strategy and with planning the “campaign”
- Help and support with finding the “right” role(s)
or self employment activities
- Advice on setting up a consultancy or approaching companies
for non-exec director positions or Interim Management
etc.
- How your “new life” will affect you and your family
Phase Three – typical content
- Continuing and active support by their own coach
throughout the agreed period
- Maintains focus; determination and motivation to succeed
- Deals with issues; disappointment and emotions as they arise
- Provides new role/career offer assessment and evaluation
- Provides guidance with contract offers and negotiations to
optimise results
- Opportunity to review progress with your coach up to six months
into new career
